PhonePe is a great app powered by UPI using which we can make payments, send money, and receive money. But when you use the app to make any payment then you start receiving notifications about it.
There is a way to stop these. In this guide, I will tell you how you can stop bill notifications from appearing on PhonePe.
Usually, the notifications you receive will be regarding the expiry of a recharge pack, electricity bill payment, broadband payments, etc.
But sometimes these notifications are very annoying and PhonePe knows it. To ensure that the customers have a good experience with the app.
PhonePe has allows the users to stop these notifications. In fact, you can choose the notifications that you want to receive and the ones you wish to stop.
What is the Process to Stop Bill Notifications from PhonePe?
- Open the PhonePe app.
- Login into the app.
- Tap on your profile picture in the left top corner.
- Scroll down and tap on “Bill Notifications”.
- Choose the notification you wish to stop receiving.
- Tap on “Delete” (Bin Icon) to stop the selected notification.
It is as simple as that. If you wish you can remove or delete all the notifications from the list of “Bill Notifications”. Please make sure that you never accept payment requests from unknown contacts.
When you delete or remove a bill notification, PhonePe will not remind you when a future bill is generated.
If you ever receive such unknown requests then you have an option to block that user as well. And no one from PhonePe or your bank will ever contact you asking for any sensitive account details of you.
