There are so many banks and neo banks that are operating in India. These banks are somehow connected to the UPI platform it can be directly or indirectly. So this means almost everyone with a bank account in India can have access to the UPI platform. In this guide, I will tell you how you can use Fi Money account for UPI payments.
There are two methods you can use your Fi Money account to make UPI payments. The first method is with the help of the official app of Fi Money itself. There is a UPI section in the app that lets you make the UPI payments. And the second method is by linking your account with any of the UPI-enabled apps like PhonePe, Paytm, etc.
Using the Official App of Fi Money
- Open the Fi Money app and login into your account.
- Tap on the “Pay” button.
- Choose the “Scan QR” or “UPI ID” option from the Payments section.
- Scan the QR Code or Enter the UPI ID to whom you want to make payment.
- Enter the amount of money you would like to send and tap on the “Proceed” button.
- The last step is to enter your UPI PIN and tap on the “Submit” button.
Using any UPI-enabled Apps
- Open your favorite UPI-enabled app.
- Go to the “Bank Accounts” section.
- Select “Add New”.
- Choose “Federal Bank” from the list of banks.
- Select the SIM Card of your registered mobile number. (if using dual SIM)
- Wait till the app fetches your bank account.
- Choose your Fi Money account. (labeled as neo)
- Now you can use your Fi Money account to make UPI Payments using your favorite UPI-enabled apps.
Why Choose Federal Bank?
You have to choose “Federal Bank” because as of now the bank accounts of the Fi Money users are hosted by Federal Bank.
What if I have multiple accounts with Federal Bank?
If you have multiple accounts with Federal Bank. Then you have to choose the right one while adding your account. You can identify your Fi Money account because it will be labeled as “Neo” in the list of accounts.
