It is quite common that you can link any of your bank accounts with the UPI app. This is not only possible with PhonePe but almost all the apps that are available in India. Now the question here is how can you receive money or pay money using a particular account of yours?
The answer to this question is by setting that particular account as your Primary Bank Account. When you do this then the money you receive from other users will be deposited into your selected account. And not only this but when you are paying someone this account will be selected by default. (you can change it while making the payments)
Steps to Change Primary Bank Account in PhonePe
While installing banking and finance apps like PhonePe. You should make sure that you are using the official sources only. If you are an Android user the use Play Store only. And in case if you are an iOS user then you can install the app only using the Apple App Store.
- Open the PhonePe App.
- Enter your mPIN or use biometrics to access the app.
- Tap on “Profile”, you can find it in the upper left corner of the app interface.
- Select “View All Payment Methods”.
- Now select the bank account that you want to set as your primary account.
- After selecting the account tap on the “Set as Primary” button.
- And you are done.
