DOB Stands for the date of birth and there are very few chances that the bank may have recorded your DOB wrong. This is because the bank takes the date which is printed on your identity proof and address proof document. Unless the data on your documents is wrong the bank won’t take it wrong. But in case this has happened to you. Then let me tell you how you can change DOB in Saraswat Bank account.
In some cases what happens is they provide their Aadhaar card as the document. And on the Aadhaar Card, only the year of birth is recorded. In such cases, the bank may have recorded only the year of birth. So in case you want to update your DOB along with the day and month. Then you can do it by providing a proper proof document to the bank. Whatever document you provide should have your full date of birth printed on it.
Steps to Change DOB in Saraswat Bank Account
There is no online process to do this you will have to follow the offline method only. Follow the instructions given below.
- Take the document that has your full date of birth printed.
- Get a clear photocopy of the document.
- Sign the photocopy to make it self-attested.
- Take a sheet of paper and start writing an application letter.
- The letter should address the branch manager of your Saraswat Bank home branch.
- The subject of the letter should be “Correction of DOB in Bank Account”.
- In the body section of the letter explain that your DOB is recorded wrong in the bank records.
- Attach the photocopy with your application letter.
- Visit your Saraswat Bank home branch and submit the application to the bank officials.
Conclusion
This change or update in the bank records is subject to verification by the bank officials. While you visit your home branch you should carry the original copy of the document with you.
