Before we proceed further you should know that the limit of your add-on card will be shared against your primary card. And to get an add on card you should have an active credit card with the State Bank of India. All the communication regarding the add-on card will be sent to the primary cardholder.
Methods to Apply for an Add-on Card for Existing SBI Credit Card
You can apply for one with the help of the official app and also the official website of the SBI Card. I have explained both the methods below. Using the Official App of SBI Card
- Download and Install the official app of the SBI Card.
- Open the app after installation.
- Login to your account by entering your account details.
- If you already have the app installed then open the app and log in using your MPIN or Fingerprint.
- Tap on “Settings” in the dashboard of the app.
- Select “Services” from the settings menu.
- Select “Add-on Card” from the services.
- Enter the name of the person for whom you want the card.
- Enter the DOB, relationship with you, gender, and click on the “Confirm” button.
Using the Official Website of SBI Card
- Visit the official website of SBI Card.
- Click on the “Login” button.
- Enter your account details and login into your account.
- Click on “Services” → “Add-on Card”.
- Select the relationship of the applicant with you using the drop-down menu.
- Enter the name of the applicant.
- Enter the DOB and gender of the applicant.
- Select if the applicant stays at your registered address.
- Upload the KYC documents of the applicant and click on the “Submit” button.
